As we commemorate the quintessential independence anniversary of our beloved country. I humbly wish to draw our minds to the true meaning of independence.

With every sense of candor, there are factors that make a nation truly independent; these are to do with:

• SECURITY – Ability to protect its citizens.
• FOOD – Ability to feed its citizens.
• PRODUCTIVITY – Ability to manufacture at least 70% of their products and services.
• WEAPONS FORCE – Ability to manufacture homemade weapons and armoury including bombs.
• INTERNATIONAL STRENGTH – Ability to assist other countries in times of war.
• RESOURCE FIT – High means of IGR, ability to have exportable products.

Do we possess all these as an independent nation we profess? I think Nigeria is prone to "ESPIONAGE". We need to come together as ONE PEOPLE, WITH ONE VOICE and WITH ONE PURPOSE to reproduce what happened in the fifth pan African conference in Manchester 1945. I believe in the dream of a new Nigeria come 31st December 2025.
